What is the difference between Granite, Marble and Engineered Stone?
Granite and Marble are Natural Stone that comes from mountains and are cut from Solid Blocks into 3/4" - 1 1/4" thick slabs.
Engineered Stone is crushed quartz crystals mixed in with Resin. Although quartz is a natural stone, it is the resin that bonds the quartz crystals together. Quartz is also availabe in 3/4" - 1 1/4" thick slabs
How often does Natural Stone need to be sealed vs. Engineered Stone?
Granite needs to be sealed once a year. Marble, Limestone, Travertine and Slate need to be sealed twice a year. Engineered Stone never needs to be sealed.
Can I cut on my countertops?
You can cut on your granite countertops, however, granite will dull your knives. You can cut on your engineered stone countertops, however a serrated knife will scratch the surface. If that happens, soft scrub will buff the scratch right out.
Can I set Hot pots or pans on my countertops?
Granite is heat resistant up to 350 degrees, Engineered stone is heat resistant up to 250 degrees. We recommend using a towel or a trivet with both products.
Is there a huge price difference between granite and engineered stone?
Granite ranges from $5.00 to $190.00 per sq.ft. Engineered Stone ranges from $10.00 to $20.00 per sq.ft. Considering most people purchase granite from $10.00 per sq.ft. to $20.00 per sq.ft. the price is quite comperable.
Please keep in mind that engineered stone slabs does not come as big and granite slabs and on some occassions, you may need to purchase an additional slab to complete your project.
Why does granite range so much in price?
The more rare or exoctic the stone, the more expensive it is. Common granites are less expensive.
If I ever manage to stain my countertop, can the stain be removed?
Yes it can by using Pultice Powder. Call the office for details on applying the product before you use it.
How do I clean my countertops?
Mild soap and water. Do not use anything that contains Ammonia or Acid as this will strip yor sealer. Everlasting Surfaces, Inc. also has cleaning products for your purchase.
How do I get an estimate?
You can fax your drawings with dimentions to: 925-960-9778, make sure to include your name, jobsite address, phone number and fax number.

And you can bring your drawings down to the showroom and one of our estimators will get you an estimate within a few minutes.
Do you have granite slabs in stock?
Yes we do. We directly import all of our slabs from Brazil
I received my estimate and want to go with your company, what do I do next?
You will need to sign your contract, make sure to initial all the stipulations and fax the signed contract back to: 925-960-9778. You may also come into the showroom and sign your contract. At that time your initial deposit will be due.
Ok, now what?
If you are ready for a template, we will schedule your template appointment. When we schedule your template appointment, we will also schedule your install date at the same time. That way you can schedule your plumber and electrician ahead of time.
If you are not ready to schedule a template just yet, not a problem, just call the office when you are ready to schedule that appointment and we will get you on the books.
I have natural stone tile installed, what is the best way to keep my tile and grout cleaned?
Again, do not use anything that contains ammonia or acid on your tile. We recommend usinig a hand held power steamer to keep your tile cleaned. You'll be amazed, it works wonders!!!
